I obtained my BCs from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv in Ukraine, where I specialized in Artificial Intelligence. To further enhance my knowledge, I recently completed my MSc in Human-Computer Interaction studies at Carleton University, where I focused my research on the factors influencing system administrators' security vulnerability remediation decisions. In 2019, I participated in the Mitacs Globalink Research Internship at the University of Victoria, where I worked on developing a mobile application aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle among children.
After completing my BCs degree, I gained practical experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer at Swivl Inc., where I actively contributed to the development of an educational platform tailored for teachers, professors, and other educational professionals. This experience provided me with valuable insights into software quality assurance and the importance of user-friendly interfaces. During my MSc studies, I had the opportunity to work as a Teacher Assistant for COMP2404 and COMP1001 classes at Carleton. This role allowed me to share my knowledge with students and contribute to their understanding of computer science concepts.
In my leisure time, I enjoy reading books and watching Netflix. When the weather permits, I love spending time outdoors, particularly hiking in Gatineau Park or exploring other parks nearby Ottawa. Additionally, I have a deep affection for cats, and I am fortunate to have two companions: Knopa, who came with me from Ukraine, and Tiger Elgin, a proud Canadian. Their ability to communicate with each other, especially when plotting to wreak havoc in my apartment, demonstrates the universal language of cats.
