Hi, I’m Rosemarie Robillard, and I'm excited to be joining the Master's program in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) at Carleton University in Fall 2025.
I recently completed my undergraduate degree in Communication and Media Studies at Carleton, where I focused on topics like algorithmic culture, digital media ethics, and the social impacts of emerging technologies. Through this work, I became especially interested in how interface design and affordances shape user behavior and decision-making.
I'm also passionate about exploring how design can be used to counter mis- and disinformation in digital spaces. Currently, I work as a Junior Communications Analyst at the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat (TBS), supporting projects related to employee experience, internal communications, and digital tool design. I'm looking forward to deepening my understanding of user-centered research and design and collaborating with others who are interested in the ethical and social dimensions of technology.
